To the semen order

A serial winner in young dressage horse classes on his way to advanced level sport, this stallion totally knows how to captivate the beholder: Most wanted Nero von Bellin has been approved for Holstein; for the 2025 breeding season, fresh semen will be available to the breeders via the Holsteiner Verband stallion keeping GmbH.

Considerations for breeding:

Most wanted Nero presents himself with powerful movement and the size and shape desirable in a dressage sire. His offspring are modern and elegant. He should be bred to mares with good hind leg mechanics.

Pedigree of Most wanted Nero von Bellin

Sire

Morricone I, the 2014 Oldenburg champion stallion, is a stallion stamped with the beauty and gracefulness of his sire Millennium. He won the dressage in the stallion performance test and the main premium award in 2016, having impressively outperformed his competitors with a score of 9.33. Four times he received the top mark 10 on rideability and walk, while his basic gaits, character and temperament and willingness to perform were rated 9.5 and 9.0. Morricone is known for his high-achieving offspring and has already sired more than 30 advanced level dressage horses, National Champions and 35 licensed sons. His offspring are also known for their excellent personality and strong nerves as they form close bonds with humans and are easily handled.

Damline

Through his second dam, Wensie, the produce of the stallion’s Dutch damline 172, fokfamilie 500, includes Grand Prix level horses and licensed (premium) stallions. This is also the mare family of team Olympic winner Cosmo by Van Gogh, who dominated dressage arenas all over the world with Sönke Rothenberger (GER).

Rideability, type, strength of character and tremendous movement are also rooted in his pedigree through his damsire, Donnerball, who performed very impressively as premium stallion of the 2002 Oldenburg licensing. With his results including runner-up in the World Championship of the five-year-old dressage horses, wins at Prix St. Georges and Intermédiaire I, and international triumphs at Grand Prix with Kristina Sprehe (GER), he confirmed the hopes placed in him.

Own performance

Most wanted Nero von Bellin is now seven-year-old and started his career under the saddle of Bart Desender (BEL) as a serial winner of young dressage horse classes up to L level, where he always received marks up to 8.8 on walk, 9.0 on trot, 9.5 on canter and continuously 8.5 on throughness. Most wanted Nero von Bellin completed stallion performance testing in Münster-Handorf as second best of his age group. He made it to the Pavo Cup (NED) final twice, won the prep class once and finished an excellent seventh of the best KWPN horses two years in a row. Since Leonie Richter, one the most talented young horse producers in the country, has taken over the ride some months ago, he is currently trained and produced for the qualifiers for the World Championships of the young dressage horses.

Offspring

As much as ten of his foals have already been awarded elite status in Oldenburg, one of them qualified for the German foal championship in Lienen. Most Wanted Nero offspring stand out for their beautiful and aristocratic faces and excellent movement. Moreover, they attract attention with their well-shaped neck, long legs and correct foundation. They are characterized by tremendous freedom of shoulder, rhythmic, balanced and up-hill movement and a big walk – definitely chips off the old block.
