At this point, we would like to draw your attention once again to some excerpts from the conditions and additional conditions to ensure a smooth process. The complete terms and conditions of the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH for insemination/covering for the 2025 breeding season can be found from page 96 of the stationing.
Terms and Conditions
Out of 3. Stud Fees
(...) In case no veterinary certificate stating the mare barren has been received by the Hengsthaltungs GmbH by 15 October 2025, the mare shall be deemed successfully bred and thus pregnant. So, by the end of 15 October 2024, the additional pregnancy rate for the last stallion the mare was bred to becomes payable and will be billed. Any veterinary certificates stating a mare barren received by the Elmshorn office later than 1 November 2025, will incur an additional 50 € (plus VAT) administrative fee. For veterinary certificates stating a mare barren received by the Elmshorn office later than 31 December 2025, the full pregnancy rate will be billed. (...)
Out of 8. Shipping of Semen
(...) Stallions which are not stationed at Elmshorn will incur shipping costs in any case. This also applies in case of shipping to a Verband station or collection at Elmshorn. Shipping boxes or rental containers must be returned to Elmshorn within 14 day at the breeder’s expense. Otherwise they will be charged to the breeder. (...)
Additional Terms and Conditions
Out of 1. Shipping of semen to Verband Stallion Stations
(...) Semen is delivered to the chosen station by night courier, with each straw incurring 10 euros shipping costs, payable by the breeder. (...)
In addition: Cancellation of stud cards
This breeding season, the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH will again not issue stud cards. Breeding notifications will be sent directly and electronically to the breeding association.
