33 five-year-old show jumpers qualified for the final on Sunday afternoon, a special M* class show jumping competition comprising two rounds.

He was the best in both rounds: after two challenging rounds, Cadoc by Casall-Diamant de Semilly (Klaus-Jürgen Pöhlmann), line 8782, with Sophie Hinners in the saddle, led the way at the prize-giving ceremony – and this after the pair had already established themselves as among the narrow circle of favourites with two victories in the qualifiers. “This horse meets all the requirements of a modern show jumper; he jumps with elasticity, takes off energetically and is highly rideable.” In the second round, Cadoc performed even better: “He wants to do everything right; he impresses with his jumping style and his rideability,” enthused Peter Teeuwen. With a score of 9.5 for the second round and an overall mark of 18.8, he was a convincing new Bundeschampion. His breeder, Klaus-Jürgen Pöhlmann, was there to witness the victory and accepted the congratulations beaming with joy.
In addition, the following Holsteiners reached the second round and thus ranked among the top eight:
Sandro T by Sandro Junior-Zirocco Blue (Richard Theurer) and Arne van Heel in fifth place (18.0)
Kensington’s Brownie by Kensington ES-Cormint (Rolf Stecher) and Philipp Hartmann in eighth place (17.4)
