As part of the long-established Falsterbo Horse Show, twelve promising Holstein foals will go under the hammer on Saturday 11 July at around 5 pm. In this hybrid auction, interested parties will have the opportunity to secure highly promising genetics for breeding and sport – both in person and online.
For decades, the Falsterbo Horse Show has been one of Europe’s most prestigious equestrian events. The show combines top-class international sport with a Scandinavian summer atmosphere and attracts riders, breeders and equestrian enthusiasts from all over the world to the Swedish coastal town of Falsterbo every year. The show jumping competitions and the traditional Derby, in particular, enjoy an excellent reputation far beyond Sweden’s borders.
From outstanding bloodlines
This marks the fifth time the Holsteiner Verband has taken part with a foal auction. This year, Head of Sales and Marketing Felix Flinzer has secured twelve highly promising young talents for this event. Take, for example, catalogue number 2, U-Stutsborgs Zara by Zuccero-Emerald van het Ruytershof. This typey filly is a real gem, both from a breeding and a sporting perspective. Her granddam is the prominent Echo van’t Spieveld daughter Kaprice, who enjoyed success at 1.60 metres with Kent Farrington (USA) and traces back to the famous ‘Roosakker line’.
Catalogue number 6, Daydream by Diarado out of I’m Special de Muze, also traces back to a highly successful dam line. These genes are rooted in Holstein line 1020 – horses such as the European Team Champion Chiara (Ludger Beerbaum/GER) and the Global Champions Tour overall winner Chesall Zimequest (Simone Delestre/FRA) come from this direct line.
