The Holsteiner Horse Days, held in mid-June in Elmshorn, have been a staple event for athletes, breeders, and enthusiasts of the Holsteiner horse for years. From June 10 to 14, visitors to Herbert-Blöcker-Platz can once again look forward to a diverse program featuring top-level competition, breeding, and marketing—this year including a jazz concert on Sunday afternoon.
In addition to the traditional Holsteiner State Championships in dressage and show jumping, qualifiers for the National Championships, the traditional foal auction, and the association’s mare show, the tournament will once again feature performance tests for four- to six-year-old stallions based on the stallion performance testing system introduced last year. The tests will be held in both dressage and show jumping. German dressage and show jumping stallions from all associations are eligible—an attractive opportunity for riders and stallion owners alike.
The riding horse and dressage horse competitions are also open to horses from all associations. For the State Championships standings, Holsteiner horses and German riding horses born in Schleswig-Holstein will be considered.
