Foal Tour: Winner with Olympic Relatives in Rendsburg-Eckernförde

A colt by Catoki and a filly by Ermitage Kalone won the foal championships in Rendsburg-Eckernförde. Both come from the successful breeding programme of the late Günther Fielmann from Schierensee.

The winning colt has a Baldini II dam who is by no means an unknown quantity: C-Belladonna is the full sister of Bella Donna, who in turn competed at the highest level with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and was placed in Aachen, among other competitions. C-Belladonna is not only the dam of the licensed stallion Conthadini by Conthargos (ex. C-Joker), but also the granddam of the Verband stallion Cascolero by Casall.

Among the fillies, it was a daughter of Ermitage Kalone out of a Cascadello I dam who came off best. Both the dam Festel and the second dam Noble Lady I were champion mares at the Holsteiner Verband mare show. The granddam and state premium mare Noble Lady I by Heraldik xx is responsible for the five-star eventing horse Vitali (Tim Price/AUS), among others. A half-sister of the filly, Ophelia by Conthargos, became the first reserve winner of the mare show in Elmshorn this year.
