On 7 November, the second edition of the Future Day for Holsteiner eventing horses will take place, featuring legendary trainer Hans Melzer. Anyone interested is warmly invited to come to Elmshorn to catch a glimpse of the future eventing stars. The event begins at 2 pm in the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle.
The training sessions will focus both on developing the young horses and on marketing them – all registered horses are for sale. The assessments and comments from Hans Melzer, former national coach of the eventing riders, also promise fascinating insights. The three-year-olds will kick things off with a free jumping session in the historic riding hall. They will then be presented in the basic gaits at the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle. The four-year-olds and older horses will subsequently demonstrate their skills on the show jumping course and over mobile cross-country obstacles.
Furthermore, the event offers an opportunity for discussion, networking and private sales. The idea of launching a ‘Future Day’ for Holsteiner eventing horses – and those with the potential to become eventers – was conceived last year as part of the Holsteiner Verband’s Eventing Working Group, in collaboration with staff and volunteers.
The Holsteiner Verband is providing financial support for the initiative, thereby enabling the event to be free of charge for participants. Further support comes from the CBV – Club der Besitzer von Vielseitigkeitspferden e.V. – and from the ZSF – Holsteiner Zucht- und Sportförderung e.V.
Spectators and anyone interested are warmly invited to come to Elmshorn on 7 November!
