In the breeding district Bordesholm, winners by Charleston and United Way were crowned in the foal championships as part of the inspection and registration tour.
The winning colt is a son of Charleston out of a Cantoblanco dam and was bred by Gisela Jahns (Großharrie). He represents a branch of the 6879 line, which has already produced numerous important sport horses: His dam is a half-sister to Clintex J by Clinton I, who competed with Lars Volmer (GER) in the 1.50 metre parocours. The granddam also produced Michael Jung's five-star eventer fischerWildWave by Water Dance xx.
In the filly category, the commission singled out a United Way daughter (MV. Cellestial), line 7126, bred by Jens Böckenhauer (Boostedt) as the winner. The dam of this foal carries the state premium and is a half-sister of the 1.50 metre successful Bella by Singulord Joter (Jan Hoffmann/GER).
Both winning foals have qualified for the R+V Holsteiner Foal Championships on 25 August in Elmshorn.
