Foal Championships Steinburg: Cahil and For Romance are the Winners

Numerous foal inspection and registrationevents are currently taking place in the breeding districts Schleswig-Holstein and in Steinburg the commission has chosen the respective champions with winning foals by Cahil and For Romance.

Among the colts, it was For Romance whose son topped the lot. The stallion has Carpaccio as his dam's sire, represents the 1947 line and was bred by Sonja Franzenburg-Much. His dam Ursa became the Holsteiner Champion Mare in Elmshorn in 2007. She was also bred by Sonja Franzenburg-Much and is a half-sister to Chiara by Cormint (Leila Bingold/GER), who was successful in 1.55 metre show jumping competitions, and produced the Bundeschampionat qualifier Let's Dance by Cascadello I.

A filly by Cahil-Caretino (Hobe Magens, Ottenbüttel), line 8769, led the competition among the fillies. Her dam Zenit is a state premium mare and stallion dam: She sired Quibery by Quintero (Rolf-Göran Bengtsson/SWE). This dam line also produced the 1.60 metre jumper Come On by Cantus (Ludger Beerbaum/GER).

The first to third placed colts as well as the first and second placed fillies have qualified for the R+V Holsteiner Foal Championships on 25 August in Elmshorn.
