The first date for foal inspection and registration tour in Schleswig-Holstein this year has taken place in the breeding district Plön. The foals can qualify for the respective foal championship of their breeding district at the sites. At the VTV/R+V Foal Championships in August, the best foals of the year in the state will be selected. A colt by Chaccothage Blue PS (Matthias Petersen, Futterkamp) and a filly by Chezarro (Hans Adolf Witthöft, Preetz) have recommended themselves for this in Plön. The State Foal Championships will be held for the first time in Elmshorn on August 20, 2023. Holstein's youngest foals will be in the spotlight this weekend with the Elite Foal Auction on August 19.
