About the 2026
Holsteiner Licensing On Wednesday 9 December 2026, the prospective stallions will arrive at the association’s grounds in Elmshorn and familiarise themselves with the facilities at the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle. In the evening, the elite riding horses will be presented – live and via livestream. On Thursday 10 December, the official parts of the licensing will begin: the programme kicks off with the traditional cobblestone test, followed by the first free jumping session and the auction of the riding horses. Holstein warmly welcomes everyone to the party afterwards.
Free Jumping Friday with the Stallion
Auction On Friday, 11 December, the second free jumping session will once again provide an insightful impression. At midday, the licensing decisions will be eagerly awaited, after which the Holstein Champion Stallion of 2026 will be celebrated by the audience. The auction of licensed and unlicensed stallions brings the official part of the event to a close, before celebrations continue at the After Auction Party.
