Save this very special date in your diary: 5 August, when Holsteiner and Hannoveraner Verband present an exquisite auction selection at Hof Waterkant CSI in Pinneberg. Once again, the four-star-rated horse show hosted by Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and Christoph Zimmermann offers ideal conditions, fantastic flair and international clientele.
Taking place for the third time now, the event held just outside Hamburg has again upped the ante in view of last years’ great demand from top riders’ from all across the world vying for a starting place and tremendous spectator interest. In 2023, the grand prix of Holstein held on the Sunday is also to be a qualifier for next years’ Paris Olympic Games. Moreover, the organizers aim to transport the pleasure in the good things in live, like music, design, food, and interesting people – and the good things in live definitely include these foals from the very best breeders offered at auction: among the foals to be knocked down to new owners is for example a half-brother to rising star Uricas v/d Kattevennen (Harrie Smolders/NED) by Cornet Obolensky, with the second dam to this foal no other than Chika’s Way by Caretino, who took home for example the grand prix of Neustadt upon Dosse under the saddle of hostess Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann. The selection also boasts an extremely rare filly, a daughter of former Olympic stallion Carthago (Jos Lansink/BEL). The valuable selection also comprises a daughter of Baloubet du Rouet, a magnificent filly with striking markings out of a dam boasting international results with Janine Rijkens (GER). And there is even more: B-Estelle, dam to the world famous stallions Cartello and Cardento, presents a granddaughter by United Way. Another scion from a first class sport horse family is a colt by Eldorado van de Zeshoek, as his dam used to be successfully shown at 1.60m level by Hans-Torben Rüder (GER). Other very interesting lots are for example by 2021 Holsteiner champion stallion, Esmeraldo by Emerald van het Ruytershof, legendary Casall, or else Chaccothage Blue PS. “It’s going to be a particular pleasure to have this hand-picked foal selection presented at this atmospheric yet urban horse show”, says auction manager Felix Flinzer. “Already now I’d like to say many many thanks to Janne and Christoph, who continue to outdo themselves again and again with this event.“
