Holsteiner Hype in Sweden: Second Falsterbo Auction Sale with Very Good Results

Against the splendid background of one of the biggest horse sport events in Sweden, twelve Holsteiner foals met with buyers happy to part with their money. The hybrid sale saw a 100 percent turnover. A Quabri de L’Isle-Cornet Obolensky offspring (Team Henriksen, Lynge) became the highest priced lot and was knocked down at 25,500 euros.

This young colt boasts a damline of the very first order: Quint’s second dam, Goriana van Klapscheut, jumped to numerous 1.60m level results under the saddle of Pilar Lucrecia Cordon (ESP). Her dam, Coriana van Klapscheut, was not only a high-achieving elite sport horse herself, but has also produced countless international sport horses. Another foal seeing a lot of interest was a Chaccothage Blue PS-Diarado offspring: Chapeau was bred by Axel Schwitzkowski (Raa-Besenbek) and worth 19,500 euros to his new owners. The produce of this colt’s second dam includes 1.60m level jumper, Quinara by Quinar Z (Hauke Luther/GER). Swedish clients invested 19,000 euros in Big Air SN – a colt foal by Olympic winner Big Star out of a Clarimo dam (Brigitta Jonasson, Linderöd). Trotting across the green of the main arena, elegant Vingino-Cellestial daughter Ruby B (Jens Böckenhauer, Boostedt), saw the hammer of auctioneer Hendrik Schulze-Rückamp fall at 17,000 euros.

The average price at this auction sale held for the second time during the Swedish horse show with the long-standing tradition was 13,250 euros. “Having such a good result at such a prestigious event makes me very happy for our breeders as it once again reflects the high international standing of the Holsteiner horse“, highly pleased auction manager Felix Flinzer summed up the event.
