The Holsteiner Horse Days, held from 10 – 14 June, are all about the up-and-coming top youngsters. The best young dressage and show jumping horses compete against each other in the state championships, the standouts of the age group are crowned in the Verband mare show and the young studs undergo stallion performance testing to prove their potential. Visitors can look forward to another highlight on Saturday, 13 June: the Holsteiner foal auction taking place in the Herbert-Blöcker-outdoor arena at Elmshorn, where a total of eleven promising young talents is put to auction.
The entire lot is already available for online viewing on holsteiner.auction, including photos, videos, and information on bloodlines and relatives’ performance records. As the selection combines proven Holsteiner mare families with internationally sought-after sires such as Casall, Keaton I, Pegase van’t Ruytershof, Cascadello or Million Dollar it offers perfect conditions for a successful future at stud or in sport.
Take for example lot 6, Uganda CM by United Way-Cornet Obolensky. This filly from a successful breed operation is a representative of mare family 5118 and comes from the same damline as Hannes Ahlmann’s success horse, Madness. Lot 10, Wanskjaer’s Daisy by Dinken-Million Dollar, boasts successful sport horse relatives, as well: Ella von Kielslück (Teike Carstensen/GER) or Con Spirito R (Theo Muff/CHE) come from the same damline rooted in mare family 2067.
The auction begins on Saturday, 13 June at 3pm. The entire lot can be viewed in advance during the live presentation at the Holsteiner horse days, also on Saturday at 12noon.
