The young stallion licensing is the biggest event in the breeding calendar. The Holsteiner young stallion licensing will take place alongside the Elite Riding Horse Auction on 10 and 11 December in Elmshorn.
However, before the candidates can apply for the approval title, they must first be admitted to the approval process via the pre-selection. The pre-selection is expected to take place from 27 to 30 October 2026 at the Elmshorn Association’s facilities.
You can register your young stallions for the pre-selection until 18 September 2026.
Please note: Young stallions born after 10 June 2024 (updated date!) are not eligible to take part in the pre-selection due to animal welfare regulations.
