It wasn’t just in the major sporting events that Holsteiner horses caused a sensation at the World Championships in Aachen. They also played a key role in outstanding successes in the U25 Show Jumping Cup and the Young Riders’ Final. Both finals were won by young German riders riding Holsteiner horses.
In the final of Germany’s U25 Show Jumping Cup, organised by the German Equestrian Foundation and Holger Hetzel, Britt Roth was unbeatable on Jeffrey by Comme il faut-Cachas (Philipp Freier, Landau), line 318D2. The 24-year-old had already produced a stylistically impressive and clear round in the first round. In the jump-off, the pair – as the last to start – stepped up their performance once again and secured a commanding victory in 40.77 seconds. Sören Suppert and Can Tici by Cornet Canto (Timm Rohwedder, Eggstedt), line 7022, also finished in seventh place.
For Britt Roth, this success marked a very special end to her final year in the U25 category. Following her runner-up finish at the German Championships in Balve and her title at the German U25 Championships in Riesenbeck, she added another important victory to her successful season. “I’m speechless,” said the winner, clearly overwhelmed. “It was a fantastic jump-off, it was great fun and everything went according to plan,” she said, finding a few words to describe her special achievement, which adds another title to her collection this year following her runner-up finish at the German Championships in Balve and her victory at the German U25 Championships in Riesenbeck. “This is the perfect way to round off my final year as an U25 rider!”

In the Young Riders’ final, the NetAachen Prize, victory also went to a young German rider on a Holsteiner horse. Max Paschertz prevailed in the jump-off on Foodfox’ Cathilde H by Cascadello-Catoki (Dr Stefanie Harland, Lohne), line 3004. As the last rider to take to the course, the 20-year-old kept his nerve and clocked the fastest time of 36.48 seconds.
For Paschertz, this triumph in front of a home crowd was a very special moment. He and Foodfox’ Cathilde H have been a successful partnership for some time now. “We’ve known each other for three years now and trust each other completely. She’s very clever – that’s what sets her apart,” said the overjoyed winner after his success. At the subsequent prize-giving ceremony, as the German national anthem played, the 20-year-old even shed tears of joy.
