The Holstein licensing commission in Elmshorn conducted the pre-selection over four days. It has now been decided which stallions will (provisionally) be allowed to participate in the young stallion licensing on 11 and 12 December 2025:
Applicants will also be informed of their results by email.
About the 2025 Holstein licensing
The stallion candidates will arrive at the Elmshorn association grounds on Wednesday, 10 December 2025, to familiarise themselves with the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle. In the evening, the elite riding horses will be presented – live and via livestream. The official parts of the licensing will then begin on Thursday, 11 December: The event will kick off with the traditional paving stone inspection, followed by the first free jumping and the auction of riding horses. Holstein welcomes everyone to the party afterwards.
Free jumping Friday with stallion auction
On Friday, 12 December, the second free jumping session will once again provide an informative impression. At noon, the licensing decisions will be eagerly awaited, and afterwards, the Holstein Champion Stallion of 2025 will be celebrated by the audience. The auction of licensed and unlicensed stallions concludes the official part of the event, before the celebrations continue at the After Auction Party.
