A Holiday with the Holsteiner Verband Stallions: Presentation on 1 May at Elmshorn

The Elmshorn presentation of the younger Holsteiner Verband stallions on 1 May marks the time to leave the gloomy winter behind and look ahead to spring, summer and the 2024 breeding season - a holiday in the spirit of the Holsteiner Verband stallions, with the three-  to eight-year-old studs shown under saddle in the open with their foals providing further information on breeding decisions.

The entertaining presentation kicks off at 10.00am, starting with the three-year-olds’ first public performance under saddle, followed by their four- to eight-year-old stable mates jumping (short) courses appropriate for their age and training level. The group of three-year-olds includes Karlo de Kalvarie by Kassander van’t Roosakker-Sea Coast Don’t Touch Tiji Hero (Stal de Kalvarie, BEL) and Kantato by Keaton-Casall (Manfred Birchler, SUI). The visitors can look forward to stallions such as Cahil by Cornet Obolensky-Contender (Manfred v. Allwörden, Grönwohld), Chezarro by Casall-Conteur (Gabriele Kowalski, Stadum) and Deichkind by Don VHP-Limbus (Rasmus Lüneburg, Hetlingen) in the show jumping arena, same as Million’s Way by Million Dollar-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband, Elmshorn) and Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles-Quo Vados I (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen). Also the two younger stallions Rolf-Göran Bengtsson has the ride on – Charaktervoll HV by Comme il faut-Contendro I (Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld) and Keaton HV by Kannan-Contendro I (Rudolf Schmitt, Wöhrden) will attend. A selection of foals, including offspring by Cahil, Charaktervoll, Keaton, Million’s Way or Vigado, will round off the programme and provide the breeders with further information and some impressions in terms of inheritance.

Executive director Sebastian Rohde is accompanied by presenter Henner Hoeschen together with trainer Hilmar Meyer, who is to give his opinion from a sporting point of view. And there a prizes to be won: three free stallion services by Holsteiner Verband stallions! The lucky winners will be drawn from the lottery tickets for sale at the event, with 100 percent of the proceeds earmarked for the Holsteiner young breeders.

Anybody prevented from attending may follow the stallions on ClipMyHorse.tv.  Admission is free – also to the info session “Quality Movement with Promise - Holsteiner Dressage Horses” from 14.00pm.
