Mylord Carthago embodies an excellent combination of first-class Holsteiner and French genes. He used to be a fixture on the international jumping scene with Penelope Leprevost (FRA), taking home team silver at the 2010 Lexington WEG and the 2011 Madrid Europeans with the French team and was consistently successful at international grand prix, Nations Cup and World Cup level.

The sire, Carthago, was himself an Olympic participant in Atlanta in 1996 with Jos Lansink and is considered the top sire in Holstein breeding. The dam's sire Jalisco B was himself internationally successful for France in World Cup show jumping competitions and successfully represented his country at international championships. The dam line is of Arabian origin and is considered one of the strongest performance families in Belgian and French show jumping breeding.
