Description

Catoo boasts tremendous presence and is extremely energetic and flexible. He carries himself well and always gives the proud impression of a correct stallion. His good rectangular frame and his sound legs in good proportion to his body round off the convincing overall impression.

Catoo achieved outstanding results in ridden classes. Winning the 2010 Schlieckau stallion performance test was a brilliant achievement, he outperformed 48 other entrants and obtained an excellent score of 141.69 index points. Under his rider and trainer Markus Suchalla, Catoo became 4-year-old Stallion Riding Horse Champion at the 2011 Warendorf Bundeschampionat– an exceptional achievement for the Holsteiner breeding programme with Catoo the first ever Holsteiner to win this title. The test riders awarded the stallion brilliant rideability scores (9.0 and 10.0). At 5- and 6-year-old, Catoo performed very convincingly in young dressage horse classes and qualified for the Warendorf Bundeschampionat with top marks. At 6-year-old, he qualified for the Warendorf Bundeschampionat again. By now, Catoo’s training under Markus Suchalla has been continued and he is ready for his first outings at S level.

Catoo’s sire Con Air won the Hachenburg Grand Prix and was part of the winning team at the Madrid Nations Cup final under Otto Becker in 2008. Since 2009, Con Air has been shown at international level by his new owner Jose Larocca (Argentina) and competed successfully at the Kentucky World Equestrian Games in 2010. Catoo’s dam, state premium mare Flair, is 2nd dam to Canto, the 2004 champion stallion. Over three generations, Catoo’s dam line has produced offspring with achievements to S level.
